Rental properties investment is constant bookkeeping work. I'm creating a new excel sheet to clean up my partners very messy bookkeeping. Things to track in Excel spreadsheet: - rent roll (tenants lease and expiration, rent collected) - finance and debt services (mortgage and taxes,/insurance) - providing tenants 1098 tax form Luckily my partners and I have management company but it's still work you have to put in. People think it's easy to sit back and just collect money.
